After COVID-19, I thought resilience would be a thing of the past and that uncertainty was definitely behind us. However, this year brought new challenges, where resilience resurfaced to remind us that taking risks is key to achieving transformation.
During 2024, the Colombian economy faced a transition period with high interest rates to contain inflation, making credit more expensive for businesses and households. This reduced consumption and investment, slowing economic growth. And that affected us. In fact, it was a significant challenge for the organization.
We started the year with enthusiasm for our rebranding. The green tones of the new logo and the name Intexus reflected what we wanted to communicate to position ourselves in the technology sector, and it was a positive change. But the journey had its challenges, which led us to rethink ourselves as an organization. From this process, three essential lessons emerged that will shape our future: how to navigate times of uncertainty, how to strive to be better, and how to dare to grow.
Regarding uncertainty, I can tell you that—though it may seem contradictory—resilience is a powerful tool. And although it sounds cliché, it’s true. First, we understood the importance of strengthening and expanding our internal team, diversifying our expertise, and ensuring that Intexus is a great place to work.
When they say that what’s inside is reflected outside, there’s a lot of truth to it. With a strong team, we guarantee that our clients won’t suffer the consequences of poor service. In fact, this year we launched our Customer Success department, highlighting the client as our reason for being. Our goal is to be closer to them, understand their needs, and continuously generate value.
I must say that striving to be better is like trying a hot sauce: there’s always a stronger version, and the real challenge lies in daring to try it. Today, we have a presence in nine Latin American countries with our solutions, but we know we can go further, serving more organizations with innovative proposals that protect people and shape the future.
This ties in with our third key takeaway: the desire to dare to grow, even in the face of uncertainty. That’s why we’re launching new digital solutions for identity verification, digital onboarding, and authentication for sectors like finance, retail, healthcare, and government. Inspired by the cities of the future, we’ve also developed innovations for electric vehicle charging and parking management, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability. Ultimately, innovation often arises from the simplest things, and sometimes it surprises us, like hot sauce.
Where are we headed? Our goal is to consolidate a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that guarantee the protection of the identity and data of individuals and organizations, driving the development of thousands of companies and governments in Latin America with vision and determination.
The future of Intexus is full of optimism. 2025 will be a key year for our internationalization, preparing the organization for this ambitious plan. We want to make bolder decisions to continue moving forward with firm steps.
We are excited about what’s to come and look forward to staying connected with you on this exciting journey!
I bid you farewell, thanking you and wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
